Ambas prometem reduzir as emiss\u00f5es de carbono e a depend\u00eancia de combust\u00edveis f\u00f3sseis, mas como se comparam em termos de efici\u00eancia? Este artigo explora a compara\u00e7\u00e3o entre carros a hidrog\u00e9nio vs ve\u00edculos el\u00e9tricos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Carros a Hidrog\u00e9nio vs Ve\u00edculos El\u00e9tricos: O Desafio da Efici\u00eancia<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>O percurso desde a produ\u00e7\u00e3o de energia at\u00e9 ao movimento das rodas nos carros a hidrog\u00e9nio envolve m\u00faltiplas etapas, cada uma introduzindo perdas significativas de energia. Mas, por outro lado, os BEVs t\u00eam um processo de convers\u00e3o de energia mais simples e eficiente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Carregamento da Bateria do Carro El\u00e9trico<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Ao carregar um BEV, aproximadamente 91% da energia de entrada \u00e9 armazenada na bateria. O motor el\u00e9trico, que alimenta o carro, opera com cerca de 92% de efici\u00eancia. Ou seja,&nbsp;isto significa que a perda global de energia, desde a rede at\u00e9 \u00e0s rodas, \u00e9 relativamente m\u00ednima, tornando os BEVs altamente eficientes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Produ\u00e7\u00e3o de Hidrog\u00e9nio<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A produ\u00e7\u00e3o de hidrog\u00e9nio, por outro lado, \u00e9 uma hist\u00f3ria diferente. Usar 1 kWh de energia para produzir hidrog\u00e9nio resulta numa perda de 30% logo de in\u00edcio. Comprimir o hidrog\u00e9nio a 10.000 psi, necess\u00e1rio para uso pr\u00e1tico em ve\u00edculos, introduz uma perda adicional de 25%. Assim, a energia inicial de entrada \u00e9 significativamente diminu\u00edda mesmo antes de o hidrog\u00e9nio chegar \u00e0 c\u00e9lula de combust\u00edvel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Convers\u00e3o na C\u00e9lula de Combust\u00edvel<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Quando o hidrog\u00e9nio comprimido \u00e9 passado por uma c\u00e9lula de combust\u00edvel para gerar eletricidade, ocorre uma perda adicional de 40% de energia. Ou seja,&nbsp;esta \u00e9 uma etapa crucial onde os carros a hidrog\u00e9nio enfrentam uma queda significativa na efici\u00eancia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Efici\u00eancia do Motor El\u00e9trico em Carros a Hidrog\u00e9nio<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Finalmente, o motor el\u00e9trico num carro a hidrog\u00e9nio tamb\u00e9m sofre uma perda de energia de 8%. Somando todas estas perdas, a efici\u00eancia dos carros a hidrog\u00e9nio, desde a entrada de energia at\u00e9 ao movimento das rodas, \u00e9 alarmantemente baixa. No total, cerca de 85% da energia inicial \u00e9 perdida no processo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Desafios para Carros a Hidrog\u00e9nio vs Ve\u00edculos El\u00e9tricos<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Dadas estas perdas substanciais, os ve\u00edculos a hidrog\u00e9nio enfrentam um grande desafio em rela\u00e7\u00e3o aos BEVs. As vantagens de custo e efici\u00eancia das baterias de i\u00f5es de l\u00edtio, cujos pre\u00e7os ca\u00edram mais de 70% na \u00faltima d\u00e9cada, agravam ainda mais os desafios para o hidrog\u00e9nio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Requisitos Energ\u00e9ticos para a Produ\u00e7\u00e3o de Hidrog\u00e9nio<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Produzir hidrog\u00e9nio de forma eficiente \u00e9 outro obst\u00e1culo cr\u00edtico. Um sistema de eletr\u00f3lise idealmente eficiente exigiria 39 kWh de eletricidade para produzir 1 kg de hidrog\u00e9nio. No entanto, os sistemas do mundo real normalmente consomem cerca de 48 kWh por kg, tornando o processo longe do ideal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Considera\u00e7\u00f5es de Custo de Hidrog\u00e9nio vs El\u00e9tricos<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A viabilidade econ\u00f3mica do hidrog\u00e9nio tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 uma preocupa\u00e7\u00e3o. O hidrog\u00e9nio produzido a partir de g\u00e1s natural custa cerca de 1,50\u20ac por quilograma, enquanto o hidrog\u00e9nio limpo (produzido via eletr\u00f3lise usando energia renov\u00e1vel) custa cerca de 5\u20ac por quilograma. (Nem vamos considerar os custos de montar uma rede mundial de distribui\u00e7\u00e3o de hidrog\u00e9nio\u2026)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Uso de \u00c1gua e Deslocamento<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Produzir 1 kg de hidrog\u00e9nio requer aproximadamente 11,36 litros de \u00e1gua, o que representa uma perda significativa de recursos. Por outro lado, 1 kg de hidrog\u00e9nio pode potencialmente deslocar 4,35 kg (ou 5,98 litros) de gasolina, mostrando o seu potencial na redu\u00e7\u00e3o da depend\u00eancia de combust\u00edveis f\u00f3sseis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Produ\u00e7\u00e3o em Larga Escala de Eletr\u00f3lise<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Um eletr\u00f3lise de 1 GW, operando a 75% de efici\u00eancia durante 8.000 horas por ano, poderia produzir cerca de 0,15 milh\u00f5es de toneladas de hidrog\u00e9nio e consumir 3 milh\u00f5es de toneladas de \u00e1gua.
